Suggestions for Download

When playing Southlands, you must connect to the MUD through a client.

If you have Windows, the easiest and quickest link-up, will be through the telnet client.  If you click on "start", then "run", a text box will open.  At the "Open:" prompt type "telnet".  When the telnet window opens type "open elwar.com 8888" and you can begin the application process.

There are much better options though!

MUSHclient is both Alaire and Jazet's favoritec client.  The capabilities for this client are amazing!  To download:

In the past, we've both also used GMud and Zmud which are pretty good clients too.
